Job Title: Senior Support Worker
Role Summary:
The Senior Support Worker plays a pivotal role in our organization, providing leadership, guidance, and support to a team of Support Workers. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, promoting positive outcomes for service users, and contributing to the overall success of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and support a team of Support Workers
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure workload distribution
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to team members
- Address team concerns and conflicts promptly
- Service Delivery:
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality care that meets individual service user needs
- Develop and implement personalized support plans
- Monitor and evaluate service user progress
- Promote positive outcomes and quality of life for service users
- Risk Management:
- Identify and assess potential risks to service users and staff
- Implement appropriate risk management strategies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of service user care
- Complete necessary documentation, including incident reports and care plans
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with service users, families, and professionals
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Represent Halcyon Health & Social Care in a professional and positive manner
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Support Worker
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3)
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
