As the Supply Chain Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of a small family run聽organisation. Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Management: Control and direct the supply chain to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Operational Data Analysis: Gather, analyse, and disseminate operational data to support decision-making processes.
Budget Management: Develop and control the Operations Budget to align with company goals.
Policy and Procedure Development: Devise and embed policies and procedures that enable core operations functions to meet business objectives and targets.
Strategic Contribution: Contribute to corporate strategy development, particularly in production, purchasing, and distribution areas, ensuring alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
Employee Oversight: Oversee operations employees, ensuring competence in their roles and motivation for consistent performance.
Risk Management and Compliance:
o Conduct monthly reviews and updates of the Company risk register.
o Take responsibility for health & safety compliance across all worksites, including legal requirements and accreditations.
Productivity Improvement: Develop strategies to enhance productivity while reducing costs within the business framework.
Goal Setting: Collaborate with senior management to establish goals fostering business growth.
Staff Management: Employ and performance manage operational staff within the business, including equivalent senior roles.
Quality Assurance: Direct production processes to guarantee standards, cost parameters, and delivery targets are consistently met.
Reporting: Prepare budgets, schedules, and other essential documents as required by the business. Report operational issues relevantly to the company board.
