One of our Property clients have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to support their contract service delivery teams based out of Hertford.

- Ensuring the Accounts comply with relevant "external" Accounting Standards, the UK’s taxation authorities and other regulatory bodies or legislation as maybe relevant
- To investigate, report (and learn from) any material variances between actual and budget/forecast
- Preparation of (monthly) management accounts and analysis
- Assist in preparation of Budget / forecast preparation
- Month-end process including; purchase/sales ledger reconciliation and payroll journals/recharges
- Ensuring your own personal learning and development needs (technical and non-technical) are maintained to deliver the Accounts
- Purchase / Sales Ledger management
- CIS involvement
- Cash book management
- Balance sheet account reconciliations
Essential Skills
- Knowledge of Sage Cloud 50 / Sage 200 Professional preferable
- Must have Excel skills to include VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables etc.
- AAT Qualified preferred
- Construction industry experience would be desirable
- Staff supervision and guidance experience
- Min 3 years experience working in accounting
