Our client, the UK’s only supplier of 100% green gas and renewable electricity, is looking for a Credit Controller to join their team. In this role, you’ll engage with domestic customers to manage outstanding debt balances, investigate accounts to resolve billing issues and arrange personalised payment plans, encouraging direct debit payments, to manage both current usage and outstanding debt. Key responsibilities:

  • Contacting domestic energy customers to follow up on outstanding debts
  • Setting up payment arrangements, encouraging direct debit payments
  • Engaging with customers to discuss and clarify their energy bills
  • Liaising with internal teams to provide updates and reports
  • Coordinating with debt collection agencies and managing debt allocation to agents

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in credit control
  • Previous experience in an energy supplier or consultancy - desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to vulnerable customers
  • Advanced Excel skills & excellent attention to detail
  • Strong proficiency in Maths to understand a customers bill
  • Self-motivated with tenacity and drive
  • Ability to work effectively within a small team
