Health and Safety Coordinator - NEBOSH qualification. Based in Hertford, Herts, I have a new requirement for an part-time (25 hours per week) Health and Safety Coordinator. Please note this role is 100% office based (offers no WFH).

You must have experience/skills in the following :

  • NEBOSH qualification
  • First Aid at Work trained
  • 1+ Years Health and Safety experience
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001, 9001, 45001, and 45003 is highly desired but not essential
  • Keen interest in Environmental Awareness and Impact
  • Multitasking, organisation, attention to detail, time management and a positive can-do attitude are essential
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with employees at all levels and foster a positive safety culture

Role involves:

Develop, Implement, and Monitor Safety Standards:

  • Establish safety policies and procedures in line with legal regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, risk assessments and method statements to identify hazards, ensure compliance, and recommend risk reduction strategies.

Accident Investigation and Reporting:

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive actions.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance for management review.

Training and Compliance Coordination:

  • Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and certifications, ensuring all documents are up to date and accessible.
  • Encourage adherence to health and safety processes, providing guidance and fostering a culture of safety among colleagues.

Regulatory Awareness and ISO Ownership

  • Stay informed about current and upcoming health and safety legislation, advising management on potential impacts.
  • Oversee the management and compliance of ISO standards, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 45003, and supporting ISO 9001 .

Continuous Improvement and Collaboration

  • Work with external auditors to complete regular compliance audits and assessments.
