Litigation Paralegal position at Trinity Estates (6 month fixed term contract)

Job Description:

The Litigation Paralegal is responsible for administering a large caseload of debt recovery litigation files, managing deadlines and ensuring that all legal processes are followed efficiently and effectively.

Key responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Drafting and reviewing litigation documents such as claims, witness statements, and other court filings.
  • Monitoring and adhering to strict litigation deadlines, maintaining accurate case records, and ensuring timely filings and compliance with court requirements.
  • Communicating with clients, debtors, solicitors, and other relevant parties in a professional, efficient, and effective manner.
  • Managing automated case management systems and utilizing technology to streamline workflows.
  • Liaising between internal departments and external correspondents, providing updates and ensuring clear, concise communication.

Qualifications and Skills:

Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Law degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience in litigation, ideally with a focus on debt recovery.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple litigation files independently.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in managing legal documentation and deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally across a diverse range of correspondents.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident in using automated legal systems, databases and case management software.
  • Positive and energetic attitude with a strong work ethic.
