Hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.15pm (1 hour lunch)
Weekly & Monthly payroll - duties will include but not limited to -
- Prepare and run weekly and monthly payrolls
- Ensure all necessary returns are made to HMRC within the deadlines.
- Preparing and posting journals in the accounting software system
- Check the payroll information supplied by managers
- Answer payroll queries for employees as required.
- Ad-hoc duties

Ensure that employees of the company are legally entitled to work for the company and correctly set up.
- Prepare national statistics forms on a monthly basis
- Provide information for the year end audit
- Ensuring that payments due to HMRC are made within the deadlines
- Monitoring and calculating SMP/SAP/SSP
- Preparation of BACS runs and processing of the same.
- Raising cheques where required.
- Monitoring and calculating holiday pay.
- Processing of bonuses and other one off of payments
- Processing the quarterly BACS dividend payments.
- Ensuring that relevant payroll deductions are made eg. Pensions, CSA, BUPA etc.
- Ensuring that the correct amount of tax and national insurance is deducted from all individuals.
- Provide assistance to the accounts department as required.
- Overtime may be necessary on occasion in order to meet processing deadlines.
- Scanning and accurately attaching relevant documents to the payroll/HR records
