My client is looking for a HR Advisor to ensure company policies and procedures are followed and fully supported.

You will play a key role in providing employee relations support to managers across our business; providing consistent and supportive advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures. You will provide support and guidance to our HR team of two HR Officers and HR & Payroll Administrator and support the HR Manager on employee relations processes, project work and deputise where required.

Working within our supportive team, you will plan and prioritise a busy and varied workload. This is a fast-paced working environment, so you must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Requirements, experience and person specification:

  • Previous experience of a similar HR role is essential
  • CIPD level 5 would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Be able to deliver quality and accuracy with great attention to detail.
  • Be a pro-active, self-starter who needs minimal supervision.
  • Great communication skills with the ability to establish rapport quickly.
  • UK driving licence.

Main duties:

  • Support and guide on HR related questions and queries
  • Involvement in employee relations processes including attendance management, disciplinary and grievance
  • Support the wider management team and provide guidance so that we have the right people in the right roles, offering practical advice on recruitment, performance, and employee development.
  • Support, advise and guide the HR team on the payroll process and provide practical support where required.
  • Co-ordinate occupational health and associated absence management
  • Support and have involvement in producing HR related data including KPI reporting
  • Visit farm locations where required to provide face to face HR support and guidance
  • Be involved with employee engagement activities, including mental health, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Ensure all HR records are fully maintained and held in strict compliance with GDPR and Ethical Trading Requirements.
