About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented Registration Authority (RA) Analyst to join our clients dynamic and fast-paced team. This role is crucial in ensuring secure and efficient access to NHS systems by issuing, amending, and revoking NHS Smartcards in accordance with national processes. The successful candidate will be a key part of the Registration Authority service, ensuring the highest levels of security and efficiency in managing user access.
Key Responsibilities-
Deliver high-quality Registration Authority services to all supported organisations.

Respond to service desk calls, incidents, and problems within agreed timescales.

Accurately record and maintain data to ensure compliance with security and operational standards.

Report any identified risks or breaches of IT security immediately.

Manage the full lifecycle of smartcards, including issuing, modifying, and revoking access.

Maintain confidentiality and security standards when handling user credentials.

Provide support to system users, RA sponsors, and other RA agents.

Communicate complex smartcard-related issues effectively with General Practice staff and other stakeholders.

Conduct audits and generate reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Manage stock levels of smartcard equipment and related resources.

Support staff training on smartcard access and system use.
-
Travel as required to various locations within the North Yorkshire & Humber region.

NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.

OCR Text Production and Word Processing Level 3.

Strong experience working in a service management or customer-facing role.

Understanding and familiarity with smartcard management systems, including Spine and UIM.

Advanced keyboard skills with experience using various software tools.

Willingness to travel extensively as needed.

ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (ITIL V4).

Experience working within the NHS and familiarity with NHS Codes of Practice.

Proven experience in service management support environments.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks under tight deadlines.
