Manufacturing Operations ManagerOur client is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager to join a dynamic and innovative department within this leading manufacturer. As Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving the performance and efficiency of manufacturing operations across multiple sites and working closely with key third-party suppliers. You’ll ensure that all production processes, whether in-house or outsourced, run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with company demand and standards for quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.As Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will oversee the coordination of complex, multi-site manufacturing processes and assembly operations, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of product quality. Your role will be central to ensuring that internal and external manufacturing partners are aligned and optimised for peak performance.Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Operations Manager:
  1. Operational Oversight:• Manage and build strong relationships with internal manufacturing sites and key third-party suppliers to ensure optimal performance.• Monitor and evaluate the performance of these sites and partners to ensure adherence to production targets, quality standards, and cost objectives.• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and operational effectiveness across all manufacturing operations.
  2. Performance Management:• Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track operational performance across multiple manufacturing sites.• Use data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks or areas for improvement and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  3. Production Planning:• Co-ordination of production schedules across multiple sites, aligning them with demand forecasts and delivery deadlines.• Collaborate closely with procurement teams and suppliers to ensure the timely availability of materials and components necessary for production.
  4. Quality Assurance:• Maintain quality standards across all manufacturing operations.• Work with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with industry standards, implementing improvement initiatives as needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Extensive experience in managing manufacturing operations across multiple sites, with a strong focus on performance management and optimisation.
  • Sound appreciation of complex supply chains and sourcing strategies would be advantageous
  • Proven ability to work with and manage expectations and relationships both directly and indirectly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving operational improvements.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of guiding teams and influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
