We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join our lovely team on a part-time, permanent basis (various hours available – hours to suit) based in the Hessle area. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £13.50 per hour.

We are extremely proud to offer very distinct and specialised case management services for adults and children recovering from an acquired / traumatic brain injury, spinal or catastrophic injuries and associated disabilities or conditions.

The Support Worker Role:

We are recruiting a support worker to support a 10 year old boy with cerebral palsy living in his own home. The client is a wheelchair user and communicates via facial expressions and gestures, he is able to express his wishes and preferences to those who know him well.

The role will involve enabling the client to engage in rehabilitation, social and recreational activities, and empowering him to be as independent as possible.

Flexible support will be required. The package will include care during holidays and weekends

The client requires full moving and handling and all aspects of personal care.    

What we are looking for in our Support Worker:

We are seeking staff with excellent communication skills and a desire to provide individualized support.  Previous care experience with children is preferred. Staff must be able to participate in a range of activities with the client.

The successful applicants will receive full training for this role, input from therapists and regular supervision by the Case Manager.

Please note we are NOT able to offer sponsorship for this role and therefore will not be able to progress any candidates who requires a certificate of sponsorship to work in the UK.
