RECfinancial are pleased to be recruiting exclusively for a Leicestershire based manufacturing client.

Due to the growing Finance team they are keen to recruit a new Accounts Assistant to join their established team. This will be a full-time permanent role, working Monday to Friday in the office. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting business who is forever growing in their market sector, with prospects of career growth and development.

What will the Accounts Assistant - role look like?

Reporting into the Finance Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for recording all transactions accurately, maintaining daily and weekly forecasts, processing purchase ledger invoices and daily bank management and reconciliations. This is a varied Accounts Assistant role, covering several different financial tasks, including purchase ledger and forecasting.

Responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant:

  • KPI / weekly Dashboard report.
  • Cash Flow forecasting and updating the Cash Book daily.
  • Processing Purchase Ledger invoices & supplier payments
  • Reconciliation of Supplier Statements
  • Post bank accounts daily (Sage 200) for receipts and payments and allocate against invoices.
  • Undertake daily bank reconciliations.
  • Collection of overdue invoices by telephone, email & letter
  • Maintain accurate records of all activity.
  • Liaising and supporting internal colleagues with income related queries

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong Financial Background.
  • Ideally studying AAT Level 3, with a view to progress to ACCA/CIMA.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel (Lookups, Pivot tables)
  • Highly organised and self-motivated.
  • Keen to learn (study leave available) & be involved in multiple disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
