We have a fantastic opportunity for a Receptionist at Rochdale Council, this is a part-time temporary role for the next 1 – 2 months, with the possibility of extension.

What is the role?

Rochdale Council are looking for a Part Time Receptionist, to support the team at TOPS Business Centre in Heywood.

What are your responsibilities?

  • TOPS (The Old Police Station) is a managed workspace owned and managed by Rochdale Council supporting a number of businesses within the building. It is a busy Centre, and we are looking for candidates with reception experience to join the team on a short-term basis.
  • Hours are 8:15 am to 12:45 pm Monday to Friday (22.5 hours per week) with the potential for additional hours holiday cover for the job share at TOPS and possibly also our other two business centres across the Borough. 22.5 hours per week.
  • We are looking to appoint someone as soon as possible, and ideally from Tuesday 19 November, potentially up to 24 Dec 2024 (5 weeks) whilst we seek to recruit to post on a permanent basis. It is possible therefore that we may seek to extend the contract for a short period of time into the New Year.

What skills do you Need?

  • Must have recent experience of working as a receptionist or administrator
  • Strong IT Skills, as you will be using Microsoft Officer, and internal council IT systems
  • Excellent people skills, as you will be speaking to the public, other members of staff and managers.
  • Excellent Telephone manner
