Currently working with a fantastic client in the Heywood area that specialize in global logistics and e commerce. They are looking for an organized and proficient Finance Assistant to join their busy team.

As Finance Assistant you will assist with multiple activities, focused on overseeing the switch from the old finance system to the new one. You will oversee the transfer of systems and undertake various ad-hoc duties around the finance office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the switch from the companies previous finance system to Microsoft Business Central
  • Copy data from one system to the other, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
  • Performing frequent system tests to ensure that data and information is being stored and utilized correctly
  • Assisting with month-end close procedures
  • Assist the Purchase Ledger Clerks
  • Other ad-hoc financial duties to assist the finance team

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail driven and adherence to deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated and tenacious.
  • Finance experience is desirable
