Excellent opportunity for an experienced Steel Erector / Fabricator to join a well-established company based near Manchester
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000, Depending on Experience
Location: New Mills, SK22 - Site based 90% of the time
About The Company
They are a leading independent company that provide steel fabrication and engineering services through many sectors in the UK. Currently working on a large-scale site in Bristol, with other sites planned for next year.
Principal Accountabilities:
Experience in large scale assembly environments and building of special purpose equipmentMust be able to read and interpret drawings
To receive technical instructions and information (verbal, written and drawings)
Erect metalwork products according to specification and timescale, using hand and powered tools. The use of access equipment will be a requirement
To complete records and documentation
To keep working environment clean and minimise waste of materials and resources
To work safely and efficiently
Must hold CSCS card & full UK driving licence
External away working will be required
Other duties as required by the business needs
Candidate Requirements:
3 years minimum experience gained in a similar industry
MMA, MIG and TIG welding
Slinger signaller certs for crane lifting operations - advantageous
Telescopic forklift certs - advantageous
IPAF / MEWP certs - advantageous
Must be physically fit
