Job Purpose

  • Oversee audit engagements and leading onsite teams to ensure quality and timely delivery
  • Deliver audit files in accordance with UK GAAP
  • Monitor budgets and manage client communication
  • Preparation of Limited company accounts
  • Preparation of Corporation Tax computations
  • Preparation of partnership and sole trader accounts
  • Preparation of persona and partnership tax returns
  • Build strong rapport with clients to identify and resolve any queries
  • Escalate complex matters to Senior Management team to ensure issues are dealt with quickly and effectively
  • Review work before passing completed file to Senior Manager
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff, offering feedback to champion skill sharing
  • Support Senior Management team by assisting with ad-hoc projects where required
  • Undertake further learning opportunities to progress within the firm

The Successful Applicant

  • ACCA / ACA / ICAEW qualified, part-qualified or studying
  • Qualified by experience also considered
  • At least 3 years’ experience undertaking audits within practice
  • Strong interest in audit and good understanding of best practices
  • Working knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Solid understanding of Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, Caseware and Microsoft applications
  • Self-motivated, results-driven and eager to progress
  • A strong work ethic, time management and organisational skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn from an experienced team
  • Hands-on attitude towards building client relationships
  • Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail
  • Able to work confidently with senior team members
