We are currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a great company based in High Wycombe on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role offers hybrid working options (2 days a week in the office) and offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Technically strong accountant with up to date knowledge of auditing and statutory reporting (including consolidations) and tax
  • Work in conjunction with FC External Compliance & Reporting and Group Financial Reporting Accountant to provide clear, accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring external financial reporting compliance
  • Produce accurate financial accounts in accordance with current regulatory and professional standards (IFRS / FRS 101)
  • Become key contact for coordinating audit deliverables.
  • Ensure that accounting implications of key contracts are understood and impact of changes to accounting standards
  • To perform and aid preparation of the pension scheme accounts
  • Process improvement for general ledger entries.
  • Controlling and reviewing specific general ledger areas
  • Compliance responsibilities, including audit, SOX, and external reporting.
  • Undertaking a cross regional approach to drive consistency and best practice within the regional offices

Requirements:

  • Qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACCA
  • Experience within a finance department.
  • Previous experience working to tight deadline year-end audits for both group and statutory reporting
