Overview:
The Senior Payroll Assistant role involves making sure employees are paid accurately, on time and compliance with statutory regulations. A thorough eye for detail, high level of accuracy, a good aptitude for figures and the ability to handle complex payroll scenarios are paramount as these are core to the payroll function on a daily basis. This role requires a strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and providing exceptional service to our employees.

Working within a payroll team of 3, you will be responsible for the monthly payroll of our 2800 employees across all locations. You will be organised and able to manage your workload effectively. This role is not a transactional or bureau payroll opportunity.

In this position, you will collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders within a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a small payroll team in a broader finance department where you will have the chance to engage with colleagues across the business.

Essential Requirements:
* You must have experience with end-to-end payroll
* You will have an in-depth knowledge of UK payroll and HMRC legislations
* Experience in reconciliations within payroll
* Keeping up to date with what is going on in payroll legislation and any changes
* Year-end experience including: P11D, PSA, P60's
* Experienced in Excel such as vlookups and pivot tables
* Written & Verbal communications
* Team Player
* Fast learner
* High level of confidentiality
* Experience with SAP is preferred
* CIPP certification desirable
