Engineering Service Specialist (In house)

Step into a role where advanced technology meets specialized expertise, providing mission-critical support for naval forces worldwide. As a Senior In-Service Support Engineer, you will play a key part in ensuring the success of defense systems used by allied navies, with a focus on sonar, radar, power systems, and unmanned platforms.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support for field service teams, ensuring products are fully supported globally.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering leads, and customers to meet support obligations.
  • Proactively address technical issues and customer reports, developing and implementing solutions.
  • Manage system performance, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend improvements.
  • Oversee inspection programs and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment safety and reliability.
  • Work with logistics teams and implement changes in response to system updates or obsolescence.
  • Prepare estimates for new work packages, manage resources, and lead engineering projects.

Skills and Experience:

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Management, or related fields; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Significant experience in defense engineering, particularly during the in-service lifecycle.
  • Expertise in project management, with a focus on defense standards and customer requirements.
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines in challenging environments.
  • Familiarity with maritime equipment is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and leadership skills.
