Private Client Solicitor - BuckinghamshireLocation: High Wycombe, BuckinghamshireSalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceJob Type: Full-time, Permanent (part-time considered)A highly regarded law firm based in Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its well-established team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a respected and technically strong department handling predominantly high-net-worth and complex matters, often involving cross-border elements.The successful candidate will work alongside two fully STEP-qualified solicitors and will be expected to manage their own caseload with autonomy. The role offers exposure to high-quality private client work and the opportunity to develop professionally within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.Key Responsibilities

  • Taking instructions and drafting wills, including those involving life interest and discretionary trusts
  • Administering both testate and intestate estates
  • Advising on and preparing lifetime trusts, and assisting with the ongoing administration of trusts
  • Preparing and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney, general powers of attorney, and advance directives
  • Advising clients on estate and tax planning matters
  • Experience with Court of Protection work is desirable but not essential

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' PQE in Private Client law
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
  • Friendly, empathetic, and professional approach to client care
  • Able to work independently and manage a varied caseload
  • STEP qualification is desirable; candidates working toward the qualification are also encouraged to apply
  • Interest in developing expertise in high-value estates and cross-border work
