Head of Digital

Coeliac UK currently has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Digital, tojoin our team hybrid working, including on site at Coeliac UK Head Office, High Wycombe. You will join us on a full timebasis. In return you will receive a competitive salary of £48,000 - £55,000 subject to experience.

Coeliac UK is the charity for people who need to live without gluten.

For over 50 years we've been helping people with coeliac disease and other gluten related conditions live happier, healthier lives. We do this by striving for better gluten free food in more places, providing independent, trustworthy advice and support to our community, and funding crucial research to not only manage the impacts of gluten, but also find the answers to coeliac disease. And we do it all so that one day, no one's life will be limited by gluten. 

The Head of Digital role:

The Head of Digital is responsible for the development and oversight of Coeliac UK’s digital channels and underpinning systems. This is a combination of a strategic, technical and management role including responsibility for web, email and app in the main plus input into CRM and analytics. The agenda for the Head of Digital role is to deliver a best practice digital experience for internal and external stakeholders that will support Coeliac UK’s strategy.

Key responsibilities of the Head of Digital:

• Completing the creation of a new website that is currently part way through being built (WordPress) managing both internal and external stakeholders and suppliers
• Devise a strategy for the future development of our Live Well Gluten Free app and see through the implementation with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers
• Develop, enhance and streamline the user experience, both for external users (e.g. donors, members, health care professionals) and internal users (e.g. management of workflows, CRM) spanning across the key areas of website, app, email and CRM
• Build and develop a strong digital team and help them to achieve their personal development goals, alongside the needs of the charity
• Be the in-house expert on website and digital channels from a technical as well as functional and strategic perspective
• Use analytics to create insight led plans to help the charity achieve its strategic objectives for growth

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the Head of Digital:

Coeliac UK is looking for a collaborative and tenacious individual who has a strong technical digital background, proactively seeks opportunities to continuously develop their knowledge and skills and shares their knowledge to mentor and lead a digital team to meet our strategic goals. If this sounds like you, and you meet the following requirements, then we would love to hear from you,

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience, working as a digital lead
• Strong digital and technical expertise, including web builds and development
• Experience leading and developing a team
