Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Design and develop electronic circuits and systems, including digital, analogue, and RF circuits.
- Prototyping and Testing: Build and test prototypes, ensuring they meet design specifications and performance requirements.
- Product Integration: Integrate electronic systems into larger product assemblies, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as mechanical and software engineers.
- Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve technical issues in existing and new products.
- Documentation: Produce detailed design documentation, including schematics, test procedures, and technical reports.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure products comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in electronic circuit design, including analogue, digital, and/or RF circuits.
- Proficiency with electronic design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in the aerospace, defence, or communication sectors.
- Knowledge of EMC design and testing.
- Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware development.
- Understanding of safety and regulatory standards relevant to electronic products.
