The Mechanical Operator position involves using basic hand tools and performing mechanical work in a modern, well-lit environment.
Candidates must have manual handling skills, good manual dexterity, and the ability to spot manufacturing faults.
The job includes tasks such as basic visual inspection of mechanical parts, installing blanking plates, and preparing components for processing and painting.
After processing, the operator will remove blanking plates and conduct another inspection to ensure specifications are met before packing for dispatch.

Mechanical Operator

Due to ongoing expansion, our client is looking for people to help with mechanical work which will include using basic hand tools. The work environment is modern and well-lit.

Job Requirements

Able to use basic hand tools (eg screwdriver, hex driver, scalpel)

Manual handling skills with good manual dexterity.

Good attention to detail, able to spot manufacturing faults that may occur.

Job Description

Basic visual inspection of mechanical parts.

Install blanking plates and bungs and mask-off as necessary to prepare metal components for processing and painting.

Once components have been returned from processing and painting, remove blanking plates, bungs and masking tape.

Complete basic visual inspection to check components meet specification in terms of finish.

Wrap and pack components ready for despatch.
