Assistant Quantity Surveyor

High Wycombe

£40 000 - £45 000 plus package and bonus

My client a leading residential main contractor and developer are looking to expand their commercial team on a large 400 unit new build traditional build scheme in High Wycombe.

You will be working with a Senior Quantity Surveyor from the start of the project till the end, which offers great prospects for progression and exposure for your progression as a Surveyor.

Your duties:

  • Assist in cash flow management and cost control, ensuring accurate reporting of costs and financial projections.
  • Support procurement by preparing subcontractor orders and ensuring they align with programme requirements and project budgets.
  • Collaborate with Production and Technical leads to identify risks and opportunities within designs and work packages.
  • Contribute to subcontractor account management, including valuations, re-measurements, and timely payments.
  • Produce detailed cost valuations, financial reports, and support the preparation of final accounts.
  • Assist in value engineering processes to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.

Experience and background:

 

•           Degree-qualified or working towards a qualification in a relevant field.

•           A solid understanding of cost control, procurement, and construction processes.

•           Main contractor experience preferred

•           Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.

•           A proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
