Job Summary

The Hansford Sensors Group are looking for an experienced Stores/Goods in Lead Hand to join our growing manufacturing facility. The Group has grown significantly over the past year and has Subsidiaries in Europe and the USA. Responsibilities and duties

    • Supporting the Supervisor in improvement and supervision of stores systems and processes in line with quality procedures.
    • Supporting the Supervisor in improvement and supervision of supplier consignment stocks.
    • Support and maintenance in perpetual inventory checks, including consignment stocks
    • Support in the supervision of repetitive stock items on production floor, ensuring stock levels are maintained to efficient quantities.
    • Ensuring all work orders are kitted accurately in a timely manner as dictated by production schedules.
    • Attending production meetings in the absence of the Stores Supervisor to ensure all scheduling plans are understood and worked to
    • Ensuring all deliveries are booked in line with quality procedures.
    • Supporting the implementation of best practices in stores management controls
    • Deputising for Stores Supervisor in their absence.
    • Supporting other leadership members with daily requests.
    • Leadership and support in the promotion of an efficient, tidy and safe working environment.

Qualifications and skills

  • Desired qualifications and skills

    • Considerable experience in Stores and Goods in management within manufacturing environment
    • Strong organisational skills
    • Competent written and oral communication skills
    • Computer literate, experience using Microsoft packages - required for documentation production and communication.
    • Team player
    • Self-motivated and flexible
    • Focused, organised and methodical approach to tasks
    • Able to work well within a fast-paced environment
    • Strong attention to detail
