Stores and Goods in Lead hand

Job Summary

Lead hand support to the stores and goods in supervisor. This role provides second line leadership for the team when the Supervisor is not available or on leave.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Supporting the Supervisor in improvement and supervision of stores systems and processes in line with quality procedures.
  • Supporting the Supervisor in improvement and supervision of supplier consignment stocks.
  • Support and maintenance in perpetual inventory checks, including consignment stocks
  • Support in the supervision of repetitive stock items on production floor, ensuring stock levels are maintained to efficient quantities
  • Ensuring all WOs are kitted accurately, on time and as desired by production schedules
  • Attending production meetings in the absence of the Stores Supervisor to ensure all scheduling plans are understood and worked to
  • Ensuring all deliveries are booked in line with quality procedures
  • Supporting the implementation of best practices in stores management controls
  • Support the Stores Supervisor in leadership of stores staff
  • Supporting other leadership members with daily requests.
  • Leadership and support in the promotion of an efficient, tidy and safe working environment.
  • Responsibility for continued personal development.
  • Promote professional, courteous and respectful behavior always.
