Supported Housing Officer - Temporary

Location: High Wycombe

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Hourly rate: £16-18

We are seeking a dedicated Supported Housing Officer in High Wycombe. This role involves providing high-quality, person-centred support to residents in our supported housing service. You will work closely with residents to help them make the most of their accommodation placement and plan for more independent living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement person-centred support plans and risk assessments.
  • Ensure residents have clear support programs to develop independent living skills.
  • Maintain health and safety standards and support residents in improving their mental health.
  • Advocate and mediate on behalf of residents, promoting their confidence and communication skills.
  • Follow up on safeguarding issues and make appropriate referrals.
  • Support residents in overcoming isolation and engaging in community activities.
  • Develop individual move-on plans for residents.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with vulnerable client groups or those with a history of homelessness.
  • Knowledge of statutory and non-statutory provisions for client groups.
  • Understanding of mental health and substance-related issues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as needed.
