We are recruiting for a Warehouse and Purchasing Manager to join our client based in High Wycombe.

The main purpose of the role is to manage inbound and outbound deliveries, oversee day-to-day operations, and liaise with suppliers and service partners. You will also be responsible for facilitating company purchases and supporting with the management of the factory facilities.

We are looking for someone with experience of managing a busy warehouse looking for a hands-on role and happy to get stuck in.

The successful candidate will be managing two sites - the current warehouse and a brand new unit and will play a key part in setting this up from scratch. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a successful team and really make a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop warehouse operations to support company growth plans; implementing process improvements by offering fresh ideas to the site
  • Managing warehouses across 2 sites to ensure the correct organisation and storage of all stock
  • Facilitate periodic stock checks as and when required for both auditors and clients
  • Keep warehouse tidy and ensure stock is rotated
  • Identify slow moving items and proactively work with the Account Management team to reduce
  • Manage Goods In area and deliveries throughout the day
  • Keep accurate records of and manage the servicing of all company vehicles
  • Support the Operations Manager with driver management, organising routes for delivery and collections
  • Be responsible for all company purchasing, including liaising with suppliers to negotiate the best prices
  • Monitor stock levels, raise purchase orders and match supplier invoices to GRN's and PO's at month end
  • Keep machine operators supplied with materials in order that all production lines are kept running

Skills/Experience

  • Experience of managing a warehouse essential, experience of a fast moving factory operation would be advantageous
  • Background in purchasing and managing relationships with suppliers
  • Experience of the print industry would be beneficial but not essential
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Driving license and comfortable driving a van
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Forklift license
