Role: Clinical Lead
Location: Christchurch, Dorset
Salary: £50,000 per annum

Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Clinical Lead to ensure the highest standard of clinical care and governance within a care home. This role is integral to a strong management team, collaborating closely with nurses and carers to deliver consistent services that meet the needs of residents. The focus will be on providing exceptional nursing and clinical care provisions while actively contributing to clinical delivery. Supervision responsibilities will be part of the role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Home Manager to develop and implement effective clinical governance policies and adhere to NICE guidelines and NMC regulations.
• Mentor nurses and carers, providing coaching and training on current clinical practices, including medication administration, wound care, and ongoing assessment of residents' health.
• Ensure the maintenance of care records for all residents, ensuring care plans reflect individual needs in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Monitor and review clinical standards throughout the care home, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
• Work collaboratively with the Home Manager and the wider management team to foster a positive work environment that promotes staff engagement, learning, and development.
• Serve as a role model to nurses and carers, demonstrating exemplary clinical practice and providing leadership and guidance as needed.

Skills and Experience
• A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• NMC registered Nurse with relevant post-registration experience, preferably with the elderly.
• Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Demonstrated empathy and compassion in care delivery.
• Excellent clinical skills with a focus on person-centred care.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritising tasks as needed.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused approach.
• Proficient IT skills, including experience in maintaining electronic records and databases.
