Shift Pattern:Monday to Friday - 8.30am-5pm (office-based)

Purpose of the Finance Manager Role

TheFinance Managerwill ensure that the accounts team adheres to best practices and maintains a high standard of accuracy. The ideal candidate should be confident and capable of clear communication with the directors and chairman.

Key Duties:

  • As aFinance Manageryou will be required to prepare monthly management accounts and supporting reconciliations.
  • Review control account reconciliations regularly for year-end accounting, including profit and loss analysis.
  • Oversee and authorise bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor and authorise the completion of sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Assist with year-end accounts preparation and support the annual audit.
  • Authorise bank payments and manage overheads.
  • Handle day-to-day cash flow management.
  • Manage the annual budget process.
  • Submit monthly/quarterly returns to HMRC.
  • Provide reports and updates to the management team.
  • The Finance Managerwill conduct monthly 1-2-1s and annual performance reviews to support team development.
  • Identify and report risks to Senior Management in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate company insurances.

Requirements:

  • As aFinance Manageryou should have an AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Familiarity with Access Dimensions would be a plus.
  • Proven experience in managing an accounting team or department.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge and experience in payroll management.
  • Expertise in daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting practices.
