Salary: Dependent on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:15 to 16:30

The Operations Assistant will play a vital role in managing our ISO system and related certifications, with responsibilities spanning auditing, maintenance scheduling, and supporting our Health and Safety initiatives. Working closely with the Operations Manager, the selected candidate will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to excel in this role. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for our Integrated Management System (IMS), including writing and managing documentation.
  • Coordinate both internal and external IMS audits.
  • Oversee facility and equipment maintenance, ensuring high standards of quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Administer customer and internal feedback systems to maintain top-tier customer service.
  • Continuously review and maintain our Health and Safety Management System.
  • Manage our supplier review process.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports to the Management Team.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of our Investors in People status.
  • Oversee other industry-specific certifications, including Constructionline.

Role Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a related role.
  • Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Experience in drafting and following procedures.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Basic Health and Safety understanding.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • IOSH or equivalent (advantageous but not essential).
  • Internal Management System Auditing certification (preferred but not essential).
