Macildowie Finance are working with a well-established and respected Financial Services business based in Leicestershire to recruit for a Risk & Compliance Officer to join their successful team.

This position is pivotal within the business, with a key focus on driving the effectiveness of their risk management processes and enhancing their compliance framework.

You will work alongside the Risk & Compliance Manager in this highly visible role, ensuring that the organisation meets regulatory risk and compliance requirements. You will also be expected to be integral in the embedding of framework across the business.

This business works on a hybrid basis, with a maximum of 3 days per week working in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Play an active role in their quarterly risk management process, including supporting risk owner meetings and preparing comprehensive management reports for internal use.
  • Enhance the Risk & Compliance function by identifying technological solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Consider the implementation of new compliance procedures and processes in conjunction with the RCM in respect of new regulatory requirements and codes of practice.
  • Tracking risk issue remediation and delivery to ensure efficient resolution and compliance.
  • Lead risk analysis by utilising both quantitative data and qualitative insights, ensuring informed decision-making across the organisation.
  • Oversee processes related to money laundering and fraud detection systems.
  • Track and ensure the timely resolution of risk issues, maintaining high standards of compliance across the organisation.

The ideal candidate will be/have:

  • Experience with risk management framework.
  • Confident ability to partner across all departments.
  • Experience working with operational and credit risk.
  • Experience working in a financial services or regulated environment.
  • Strong organisation and planning skills.
