About the Role We are looking for a dynamic and compassionate Temporary Care Services Team Leader to join our short breaks and supported living service in Hinckley. This role is ideal for confident individuals with managerial or supervisory experience in a social care setting, who are committed to delivering high-quality care to adults with learning disabilities and related health needs.

As a Team Leader, you will:

  • Manage and supervise a dedicated team of support staff, providing regular high-quality supervision and ongoing professional development opportunities.

  • Ensure the delivery of person-centred, outcome-focused care and support services that promote independence, choice, and individuality.

  • Manage referrals, assess new placements in collaboration with the Registered Manager, and oversee the planning and scheduling of services.

  • Maintain high-quality service compliance through audits, risk assessments, and safeguarding measures, in line with regulatory requirements and the Care Quality Commission’s Fundamental Standards.

  • Provide direct care and support to service users, encouraging inclusion, diversity, and positive values.

  • Administer and document medication in adherence to departmental policies and procedures.

Key Criteria:

  • Proven managerial or supervisory experience in social care or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate information and make defensible decisions.

  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant regulatory frameworks.

  • Ability to assess risks and implement effective management tools.
