Job Title: Welder Fabricator (MIG & TIG Welding)

Location: Midlands

Salary: 15 - 17p/h (Dependant on Experience)

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Welder Fabricator with expertise in MIG and TIG welding to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals including stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.

  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components and structures.

  • Inspect and test welds for structural integrity and quality standards.

  • Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation.

  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment.

  • Work collaboratively with team members and project managers to meet deadlines and project specifications.

Key Requirements:

  • +5-years' experience in MIG & TIG welding and fabrication demonstrable by associated qualifications and training.

  • Light welding and general fabrication experience for electrical containment systems and associated stainless steel support structures.

  • Ability to work from technical drawings.

  • Be capable of drafting simple fabrication drawings for customer acceptance.

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Good understanding of current H&S requirements for welding and other hot works.

  • MEWP operator experience.

  • Good communication skills.

  • To be a team player.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
