Our client a specialist care centre, near Hindhead, Surrey is currently looking for a Head Chef to join their team.

As the Head Chef you will be managing a small team and catering for up 50 people per day plus visitors and staff, cooking with fresh produce. You will be responsible for planning
menus (including theme days, meetings and events), costing, ordering, stock control, rotas, training, health and safety and all relevant records.

Requirements:
You should be a confident leader who is used to managing a busy kitchen. You should also have:
-NVQ level 3 in Catering Services or similar
-Level 3 in Food Hygiene
-Supervisory Experience
-Good knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety.
-A good understanding of texture modification (IDSSI) and Management of Allergens.
-A good track record in supporting and developing the team and be able to create a positive working environment.

Experience in a care home type environment or similar, together with a restaurant / Hotel background would be ideal. We are looking for a Head Chef who can bring new ideas and flair to the cooking.

Hours of work:
-37.5 Hours per week
-5/7 days per week
-Alternate weekends off
-Shifts between the hours of 7am-7pm
