The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate catering manager for a busy educational setting. The successful candidate will have experience of managing and supervising a busy department in a large catering establishment. You will have the ability to embrace innovation and address problems in a practical manner with exceptional communication skills. You will have professionalism, motivation and ability to drive standards in the establishment and wider business. Also have a pro-active approach to teamwork and staff development.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Keeping up to date with stock and ordering, ensuring all orders are received to unit in time, whilst communicating with suppliers.
* Ensuring the catering budget is being effectively managed and that stock is rotated to correctly and waste reduced.
* Effectively managing a team of staff members
* Attending company catering forums when required
* Keeping the catering diary up to date, ensuring all specific tasks are completed
* Ensuring all food safety training is up to date and staff are aware of their day to day responsibilities
* Ensuring guests specific dietary requirements are met daily and allergens guidance is being followed
* Assisting with center specific duties associated with residential activity are met
* Be an active member of the head of department team
