Rate: £40,000 - £47,000 inclusive of Shift
Shift Pattern: Double Days
Shift Pattern:
• AM Shift 05:30am - 1:30pm Monday to Friday
• PM Shift 2:00pm - 10:00pm Monday to Thursday (8:00pm finish Friday)
The role: Machine Shop Supervisor
We have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Shop Supervisor or Team Leader to join a reputable manufacturing business in the Worcestershire area.
You’ll need to bring sound leadership experience to ensure the smooth running of your area, including ensuring training and progression plans for individuals in your care.
You’ll need to be able to demonstrate strong planning skills to ensure daily and weekly plans are followed and target output is achieved.
Duties: Machine Shop Supervisor
• Work closely with the department manager to ensure deliverables are achieved.
• Ensure the safe, smooth & efficient running of a busy machining section.
• Setting weekly plans & targets to ensure the team meet the required daily output.
• Schedule work into your specialist area.
• Capacity plan for your area of responsibility.
• Report daily on any issues that inhibit the delivery of parts to internal customers.
• Monitoring & controlling of budgets.
• Responsibility for control of Risk Assessments, staff training plans & SDQCP activities.
• Ensuring effective communication between different section areas.
• Ensure Health, Safety & Environmental rules & procedures are implemented.
• Promote a positive culture amongst staff in all areas of business activity.
Person Background: Machine Shop Supervisor
• Proven Leader, accountable for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People
• Be proficient in ERP system usage
• Proactive and approachable
• Preferably Machining knowledge or product knowledge. (Desirable)
• Leadership qualification or experience. (Desirable)
