Job Description
- Working closely with the dept manager to ensure the safe, smooth & efficient running of a busy section within the machining department.
- Setting weekly plans & targets to ensure the team meet the required daily output.
- Schedule work into your area of responsibility.
- Capacity plan your area of responsibility accurately & effectively.
- Report daily on any issues that inhibit the delivery of parts to internal customers.
- Monitoring & controlling of budgets.
- Responsibility for the control of Risk Assessments, staff training plans & SDQCP activities.
- Ensuring the communication between our department & sections results in an effective & on time supply to the assembly areas.
- Ensuring Yamazaki Mazak Health, Safety & Environmental rules & procedures are implemented, & information in the departments is always up to date & available for staff.
- Promote a positive culture amongst staff by engaging them in H&S improvements & kaizen initiatives.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Proven Leader, with deliverables in all key areas of SQDCP.
- Be proficient in ERP systems & Microsoft applications.
- Have a can-do attitude.
- Prior experience working within a supervisory or team leader role.
Desirable Criteria
- AX Knowledge.
- Mazak product knowledge.
- Leadership qualification or experience.
