About the Role:
As Managing Director, you will be responsible for the overall strategy, growth, and operational performance of the business. You will lead a team of 80 employees across multiple locations, ensuring the company continues to innovate and maintain its reputation for excellence in the test and measurement industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with customers while ensuring profitability.
- Lead commercial and operational functions, ensuring efficiency and high-quality production standards.
- Identify and implement business growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with senior leadership across the company's global network.
- Oversee manufacturing, installation, and commercial operations.
- Standardize processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop high-potential talent within the organization and create succession plans.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective action when necessary.
- Manage supply chain strategies, inventory control, and production scheduling.
- Drive a culture of innovation, customer focus, and operational excellence.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a General Manager or Managing Director role with full P&L responsibility.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams while delivering financial performance.
- Commercial and operational experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong strategic thinking with a results-driven mindset.
- Experience implementing Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage teams and stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable:
- Experience in automotive test and measurement industries.
- Knowledge of product marketing, development, and sales strategy.
- Experience in international business development.
