Accounts Administrator/ Assistant
Job Type: Full-time Permanent or 6 to 12 months Maternity CoverSalary: Up to £28,000 per annum
We are seeking a Lettings Accounts Administrator to manage accounts payable and receivable for our client. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of client accounting and play an essential part in maintaining accurate financial records.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Finance or Accounting, with familiarity in bookkeeping, ideally within the Lettings and Property Management industry.
You will collaborate closely with accountants to manage financial functions such as accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly journal entries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily bank reconciliation for all receipts across multiple lettings bank accounts and cashbooks.
- Upload rent, payments, and invoices onto the Vebra Alto system daily.
- Resolve landlord queries via email and telephone.
- Investigate and proactively resolve queries related to non-payment of invoices, including preparing weekly and monthly Debtors Reports and liaising directly with landlords and clients to ensure prompt payments.
- Assist with payment requests, including refunds and deposit releases ahead of payment runs.
- Collaborate with Property Managers, issue and re-issue invoices, and issue credit notes as necessary.
- Manage general accounts administration, including banking, filing, and retrieval of paperwork.
- Chase arrears and manage credit control.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Management Accounts Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and debt collection regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial formulas and spreadsheet creation.
- Solid data entry skills with an eye for numerical accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of the Vebra Alto system is a plus.
- A focus on maintaining accurate and efficient financial management.
