We are collaborating with outstanding SEN schools in Hitchin and the surrounding areas that cater to children with a range of educational and social needs. These schools are seeking a dedicated SEMH Assistant who is passionate about helping students achieve their full potential through excellent teaching and support.
Location: Hitchin
Sector: Education and Training
Start Date: October
Hours: Full-time, 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM
Pay: £460 - £500 per week
Training: Full training provided
Career Path: Ideal for aspiring Clinical Psychologists or Youth/Criminal Justice Officers
Key Responsibilities of a Clinical Teachiong Assistant:
- Work closely with the clinical team to support students' social and emotional development.
- Assist with teaching and learning activities in the classroom.
- Provide personal care for pupils when needed.
- Use initiative to enhance students' learning experiences and engagement.
Requirements for a Clinical Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children and/or young people (desirable, but not essential).
- A caring, enthusiastic, and energetic personality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, alongside teaching and support staff.
- A passion for supporting children and young people with special educational needs.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A degree in Psychology or Criminology.
- Ideally located near Hitchin.
