Are you looking for your next Financial Controller position? Are you a qualified finance professional with proven record of operating within an e-commerce and B2B business environment.
Working for a highly successful SME with robust growth plans in place, you will be a commercially minded, driven and enthusiastic finance business partner to the Managing Director.
Duties will include:
- Oversee a small transactional Finance Team
- Formation of financial strategy
- Managing the relationship with bankers and auditors
- Ensuring that the annual audit process runs smoothly
- Leading and developing the finance team to ensure accurate and insightful management information
- Overseeing the preparation of a financial strategic plan alongside the Managing Director
- Leading on development of budgets, financial planning, forecasts and financial models to enable effective decision making on commercial opportunities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Ensuring appropriate budgetary controls are in place, monitoring costs against budget
- Playing an active role in identifying new potential risks; ensuring risks are mitigated
- Leading on all project and acquisition accounting
- Reviewing entity cash forecasts, considering future movements in the drivers of foreign exchange
- Interrogating management information, providing regular and informative commentary on the commercial, operation and financial performance
The Person:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Previous experience of working in a growing SME in a similar capacity
- Previous experience of working within an e-commerce/B2B business
- Previous experience of working with MS Dynamics Business Central
- Some knowledge of working with Amazon would be advantageous
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, able to ask challenging questions and follow through to a successful solution
