Learning Support Assistant

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. This position is ideal for those who have previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting and are looking to further their career in education.

• Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in both one-to-one and group settings.
• Assist teachers in the classroom, ensuring that learning activities are accessible and engaging for all students.
• Help students develop essential skills, including communication, social, and emotional skills.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the well-being and academic success of all students.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support the individual needs of each student.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers, ensuring the appropriate adjustments are made to support learning.

• Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed and thrive in their educational journey.
• Patience, empathy, and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with additional needs.
• Flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
