Location: Kirklees

Pay: 90.00 - 110.00 per day

The Role:

Veritas Education is working with a range of different schools in the Kirklees area supporting children and young adults with learning needs and requirements. This opportunity is ideal for anyone looking for their next role in education, someone who has the correct transferable skills or someone who is even looking to start their career in schools!

Special Needs Support and Teaching Assistants are there to help the learners in class throughout their school day, support them in their lessons and provide 1:1 care across the school setting.

The ideal candidate is someone with previous experience supporting additional learning needs, someone who is committed, energetic and proactive. Schools like to see pro-active staff members getting involved with the children and actively helping them in every way they can!

The Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting learning needs such as Autism, Asperger's, and Down Syndrome.
  • Knowledge around Special Educational Needs and how to support challenging behaviour
  • Comfortable working across primary and secondary age students
  • Committed, reliable and compassionate
  • Willing to work with a range of different students, across a class and on a one-to-one basis too.
