WSR are looking for a Finance Coordinator to join the team of our esteemed client based in Holsworthy, Devon.Location: Holsworthy, Devon - Onsite 5 days per week

Office hours: Monday to Thursday - 8:15am to 5pm / Friday 8:15am to 4pmSalary: £30 420 excluding 5% bonus 

Finance Coordinator Responsibilities / Tasks

Credit Control:

  • Oversee credit control processes to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Establish and maintain provisions for bad debts.

Accounts Receivable:

  • Manage accounts receivable to ensure prompt invoicing and collections.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers, collaborating with other departments as needed.
  • Issue account statements to customers and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate payment receipts to the sales and administrative teams promptly.

Accounts Payable:

  • Manage accounts payable processes to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Issue payment remittances and reconcile supplier accounts for accuracy.
  • Handle prepayment processes to manage advance payments effectively.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Reconcile sales project finances for tracking and reporting on project performance.
  • Create and/or approve payment uploads, ensuring financial transaction accuracy.
  • Manage stock valuation and movements for precise inventory tracking.
  • Record and manage invoice accruals to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Respond to incoming calls and emails, providing timely and professional assistance as needed.
  • Offer general finance administrative support as required.

Support to Finance Manager:

  • Assist the Finance Manager with payroll processing.
  • Support the Finance Manager in month-end procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor departmental KPIs and provide regular status reports to the Finance Manager.
  • Participate in audit preparations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A-Level or equivalent in accounting (preferred).
  • Proven experience in a similar finance role is essential.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in SAGE accounting software (preferred) and MS Office (essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
