Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Technician, your role will involve ensuring that manufactured products meet customer requirements through the use of appropriate tools and guidelines. Key responsibilities will include:
- Technically and visually inspecting parts to identify defects, ensuring compliance with product specifications for both in-house manufactured and goods inward materials
Reading technical drawings and instructions to understand quality expectations for manufactured products and purchased supplies
Keeping accurate records of defects and non-conformances identified during inspections
Reporting issues to the Quality Engineer as needed
Managing all non-conformance issues, including recording, processing, and handling returns
Engaging with customer quality representatives during product inspections
Providing feedback on process improvements to the Quality Engineer
Adhering to GDPR and company quality policies and standards
Supporting the business with QMS for ISO 9001:2015 certification
Managing equipment calibration renewals and maintaining calibration registers
Flexibility to perform additional duties and tasks in various areas of the business as required by management
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Technician with the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role, ideally in an electronics-based product manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with electronic/electrical components and cabling
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and data sheets
Experience using test and measurement equipment
Good interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
The ability to work independently or as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Desirable (Advantageous Experience)
- Previous experience or qualifications in IPC-A-610 or IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
Familiarity with DEF-STANs (Defence Standards)
Experience working with calibration equipment or in a calibration role
