We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a passionate and creative Head Chef to join a newly established restaurant in Holywood, Northern Ireland. This role is perfect for someone eager to make a significant impact, offering full autonomy to shape the culinary direction and introduce trendy, flavourful dishes.
Day-to-day of the role:- Develop and introduce new, trendy dishes that align with the latest culinary trends.
- Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their skills and ensure consistent performance.
- Oversee the kitchen's financial budget, including cost control and kitchen expenses.
- Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations, including HACAP.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience at a senior level, ideally as a Sous Chef or higher.
- Demonstrated creativity and a passion for developing new and exciting dishes.
- Excellent organisational and stock control skills.
- Competence with HACAP and other food safety management systems.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of managing and motivating a team.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
