A beautiful private estate in Devon seeks a professional and experienced Housekeeper to maintain the interior of the property to a high standard and look after the family during their visits. This role requires attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Maintain the interior of the property, including all cleaning and organisational tasks.
• Laundry, including washing, ironing, and wardrobe management.
• Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers when necessary.
• Ensure seasonal deep cleaning and special event preparations are carried out efficiently.
• Liaising with the wider team, providing regular updates and acting as point of contact.
• Overseeing the household team, planning rotas and tasks
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Housekeeper in a private household or similar setting.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with the offsite team.
• Strong IT skills including MS Office (Outlook diary management & Excel)
• Ability to work independently with professionalism and discretion.
• A full UK driving license due to location.
• Based within a reasonable commuting distance.
Days/Hours: Thursday to Monday 9am to 5:30pm (some flexibility depending on when the family are in residence)
