The Company

Our client, is a successful operator in the hazardous and industrial sector, providing specialist services to the waste, power and heavy industry sectors. We are looking for a HSEQ Officer to work with at our facility in Devon.

The Role

As HSEQ Officer you will work with our operational site team to maintain high standards of safety and general health and environmental compliance.

As HSEQ Officer you will be part of the wider Group HSEQ team.

As HSEQ Officer you will carry out HSEQ inspections and audits.

  • You will deliver site inductions to new starters and contractors to site.
  • As HSEQ Officer you will maintain the management system and identify and implement initiatives to improve it including all procedures, processes, safe systems of work, offering support and advice on Risk Assessments, Method statements and COSHH.

You will support the HSEQ team in ensuring a Safety-First Culture is embedded, understood and delivered.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have ideally have a NEBOSH L3 GC in Occupational H&S.

The ideal candidate will be working in a similar H&S remit and have a good working knowledge of H&S legislation.

It would be advantageous to have experience from the hazardous or industrial waste services sector. Chemical, distribution, manufacturing, construction and waste or recycling services are all of interest.

Working on behalf of a corporate organisation you will have exemplary presentation skills.

This role requires a candidate with excellent written and verbal communication skills

You will be an excellent relationship builder, with clients and internal colleagues.

Excellent IT skills required.
