Purchasing Assistant - Part-Time | Honiton, Devon25 hours per week | Monday to Friday, 9am-2:30pm

Butler Rose is recruiting on behalf of a well-established business in Honiton, seeking a Purchasing Assistant to support their supply chain operations. This role is ideal for a highly organised individual with a keen interest in procurement and supply management.

About the Role

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will assist in maintaining optimal stock levels to ensure timely delivery of inventory items. Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, you will be responsible for accurate communication of stock requirements and ensuring deliveries align with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Placing and tracking purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Managing supplier relationships and resolving supply chain issues.
  • Processing customs documentation for overseas deliveries.
  • Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies.
  • Assisting with cost-saving initiatives and supplier performance reporting.
  • Supporting finance with invoice query resolution.

About You

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Confident communicator with a positive, proactive approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (desirable).
  • Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems.

Package

  • Salary up to £24,000 (pro-rata)
